We are proud to be part of another environmental project, one also supported by the Hungarian government. We are carrying out the piping and mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works for the capacity expansion of Huntsman Corporation Performance Products' growing production plant in Pétfürdő, which is based on new, environmentally friendly technology. Huntsman Corporation's Performance Products division is expanding its Pétfürdő plant in a multi-million investment to meet the surge in demand for its amine and polyurethane catalysts seen in recent years.
The JEFFCAT® specialty amines, now in greater demand, are used for example to make foams for car seats and mattresses, and they also help in producing energy-efficient spray foam insulation for buildings. Huntsman's new generation of innovative products helps industry reduce emissions and odours from consumer products and contributes to global sustainability efforts. Huntsman — a world-renowned amine catalyst manufacturer with more than 50 years of experience in urethane chemicals — expects the brownfield facility to extend its global capabilities and provide greater flexibility for the metalworking, polyurethane and electronics industries.
