Reference project

5 + 20 MW biomass district heating plant in Kecskemét

A project of national economic priority: complete mechanical, electrical and control design and construction of a wood-chip-fired heating plant.

The 5 + 20 MW wood-chip-fired district heating plant on Mindszenti körút in Kecskemét, together with its ancillary structures, is being delivered as an investment of national economic priority under Government Decree 184/2020 (V. 6.). The development, worth approx. HUF 8.5 billion, is funded by the Cohesion Fund of the Széchenyi 2020 programme and by Hungarian state budget support.

The investment serves security of supply and environmental protection at the same time: it makes the use of renewable energy sources in the region more flexible and allows new and existing heat sources to be operated at their economic optimum.

Our scope

Complete mechanical, electrical and control design and construction of the heating plant, including one of the most striking elements of the project: the flue gas chimney, delivered together with Fuligo Kft., which manufactured and erected it. In line with ICAO Annex 14, the chimney is fitted with four uninterruptible obstruction lights and with silencers.
