Reference project

Expansion of the high, medium and low pressure steam network of BorsodChem Zrt.

Complete installation of a steam transmission pipeline, steam pressure reducing station and distribution system.

Complete installation of a steam transmission pipeline, steam pressure reducing station and distribution system.

Preparation of the permit and detailed designs.

Complete delivery of the facility, including material procurement, cleaning, steam blowing and commissioning.

During construction we built a steam collection system on the high pressure steam header next to the boiler, to collect the steam produced by the BorsodChem power plant (50 t/h) and by the new natural-gas and fuel-oil-fired steam boiler under construction, with an output of 110 t/h (live steam at 30 barg, 370 °C).

We built the steam transmission pipeline system from the steam header to the steam receiving station next to the Steam III unit, a distance of approx. 1,200 m, with four parallel pipelines, pipe support bridges and accessories.

We installed the steam receiving, pressure reducing and distribution station in the Steam III building.

We built the complete steam distribution pipeline system up to the consumers, with pipe bridges and accessories.

We built the auxiliary systems (drain, vent and silencer systems).

Client: BC Therm Kft.

About the facility: BorsodChem Zrt. expanded its steam generation and distribution capacity to meet the steam demand of its new production units. The reconstruction of the Steam I unit created a second distribution capacity of 160 t/h which, together with the Steam III unit, supplies the company's main production units across its sites.
