Commissioned by FŐTÁV Zrt. and acting as main contractor, we used a special method to build a district heating pipeline from Vágóhíd utca in Ferencváros and Nagyvárad tér, crossing Üllői út, to the corner of Orczy út and Batsányi utca in Józsefváros.
Twenty-one metres underground, beneath a metro tunnel and tram tracks, we connected the existing district heating pipelines using a technology that required no road surface to be broken up. The result: more efficient district heating and greater security of supply in the area, less air pollution, and the connection of the University of Public Service to the network.
